The Old Town / Bucharest Old Town
The renowned Old Town of Bucharest, home of Vlad the Impaler, is now an open-air museum with excavated medieval ruins and the National Museum of Romanian History, which displays religious icons and royal treasures in a former palace. The shops sell local wines and beaded jewellery, while the elegant restaurants in 19th-century buildings serve traditional dishes. After dark, the pubs and clubs draw crowds of people.
Calea Victoriei
No street in Bucharest has a history to match that of Calea Victoriei, the most famous thoroughfare for more than three centuries, which runs from Victoriei Square, in the north of the capital, to Națiunilor Unite Square and the Dâmbovița River. With beautiful houses, palaces, churches, hotels, luxury shops and museums, it probably remains the most prestigious address in the city.
Constituției Square
Constituției Square, also known as Palace Square, is one of the largest squares in the centre of Bucharest. It lies in front of the Palace of the Parliament. The square is one of the best open-air venues for concerts and other public events (parades, etc.) in Bucharest. Every year, a New Year’s Eve party organised by the city’s mayor takes place here. World-class performers such as AC/DC, Shakira, Leonard Cohen, Bon Jovi, The Prodigy, Judas Priest and Sting have played in Constituției Square. Lady Gaga performed here to a crowd of over 22,000 people on 16 August 2012, during her BORN THIS WAY BALL tour.
Another sight to visit during your stay in Bucharest is the Romanian Athenaeum. You can also enjoy the fresh air of Cișmigiu Park, the Therme indoor pool all year round, etc.
This property is a few minutes’ walk from Izvor metro station and the RATB stop.
